Happy New YearAs we welcome in the new year we are delighted to be celebrating our 5th Birthday with a range of exciting menus and events. Head Chef Ian Wood has created a menu comprising his favourite dishes over the last five years : Salade Perigourdine, Steak Tartare, Roast Vedee quails, Foie gras “pot au feu” and Apple tarte Tatin all combine to create a luxurious and inspiring menu to enjoy for lunch and dinner made even more special by the opportunity to win five pairs of tickets to Ian’s renowned cookery classes should you dine with us in January To book click here Ian’s collection of recipes is also available to purchase from the restaurant so you can recreate Almeida’s much loved dishes at home. Events at AlmeidaWine TastingsWine expert, Sommelier Marc-Andrea Levy continues to share his knowledge and enthusiasm, guiding guests through a selection of wines with a focus on a differing wine region at each event. The sessions are fun and relaxed, running between 4pm and 6pm and are held in the Almeida Bar. The Almeida wine tastings are an informal way of getting to know wines by region and a great opportunity to build on an interest in wine. Following sessions
Cookery ClassesHead Chef, Ian Wood, continues his ever popular programme of French cookery classes. Classes commence at 3.45pm, and for 2007 cover a different ingredient each month, with Ian revealing numerous kitchen secrets and cooking tips. Following the class, at 6pm, attendees can enjoy a regional aperitif with Ian at the bar which provides an opportunity to ask questions. This is followed by a sumptious four course meal with a selection of matching wines based on the dishes covered in the course. Places on the course are limited to 12 per session, so early booking is recommended. Dates still available to book:
From Vineyard to TableThis successful and relaxed look at regional French food and wine continues in 2007. The evening consists of a three course regional menu with matching regional wines introduced by Head Chef Ian Wood. Tickets are priced at £45 per person and early booking is recommended Dates
